The goddess is depicted in the round, her drapery falling in vertical folds consistent with the Flavian artistic canon. This reverse type — one of four Minerva variants employed on Domitianic denarii — was a favored design reflecting the emperor's personal devotion to the goddess. The encircling legend fills the field around the standing figure, with no exergue line present. |
