| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Domitian facing left, with characteristic curly hair and aegis visible at the truncation, rendered in high relief with confident Flavian portraiture. The emperor's strong features are depicted in profile, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated across the brow. A circular legend in Latin capitals runs along the outer border of the flan. The flan is irregular and slightly off-centre, as is typical of hand-struck Roman silver coinage of the period. |
