Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, with aegis visible at the base of the neck, rendered in the realistic portraiture style characteristic of Flavian coinage. The emperor's features are firmly modelled, with a strong jaw and short hair beneath a detailed laurel wreath. The surrounding legend reads IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P VI, distributed around the full circumference of the flan within a dotted border. The portrait conveys imperial authority consistent with official Rome mint production of the period.
