| 背面描述 | Minerva, goddess of wisdom and war, stands erect facing left in a graceful contrapposto pose, clad in a long flowing chiton and himation. She extends her right arm forward holding a long spear upright, while her left arm rests at her side. The figure is rendered with careful attention to drapery folds, consistent with the classicising style favoured on Domitianic coinage. Minerva was Domitian's personal patron deity and appears frequently on his silver coinage in a variety of standing types. The reverse legend is distributed around the field in capital letters. |
