Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered with characteristic Flavian portraiture. The emperor is depicted with a wreath of laurel leaves encircling his head, and the bust truncation is visible at the lower field. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, framing the imperial effigy. The die work displays confident engraving typical of the Rome mint in the early Domitianic period.

Reverse description Central type depicts a dolphin, its sinuous body coiled around an upright anchor, with the dolphin's head directed downward and its tail arching upward — an Augustan emblematic device evoking the motto festina lente (make haste slowly). The anchor stock is clearly rendered and the dolphin's fins are articulated in the field. The Latin legend is distributed around the periphery of the flan. The composition occupies the full reverse field with no exergual line.
