(Translation: Caesar Augusti FIlius Domitianus. Caesar, son of the emperor (Augustus), Domitian.)
Reverse description Full-length figure of Ceres, goddess of grain and agriculture, standing left in long draped robes. In her extended right hand she holds ears of corn and a poppy, the emblems of her divine dominion over the harvest, while her left hand rests upon a tall sceptre. The composition fills the field with a dignified, classically proportioned figure consistent with Flavian reverse iconography. The abbreviated legend CERES AVGVST is distributed in the field to either side of the standing deity.
