| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Domitian as Caesar facing right, the portrait rendered in high relief with finely articulated curled hair and youthful features characteristic of his pre-accession coinage. The figure is depicted with a paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the right shoulder, its folds falling across the truncation. The circumferential Latin legend reads DOMITIANVS CAESAR AVG F, identifying him as Domitian Caesar, son of the Augustus (Vespasian), positioned around the field border. |

| Reverse description | A finely rendered laurel wreath occupies the full field of the reverse, its two branches meeting at the apex and tied at the base with a decorative bow or festoon. Within the wreath, the abbreviated legend AVG is inscribed in large letters across the centre, with the control mark or additional inscription EPE (or similar) appearing on a small tablet or festoon at the lower interior of the wreath. The composition is typical of Flavian dynastic coinage struck at Rome under Vespasian for his son Domitian as Caesar. |
