| Beschrijving keerzijde | Jupiter, nude and in heroic pose, rides in a quadriga galloping vigorously to the right, his right arm extended hurling a thunderbolt while his left hand grasps both the reins and a sceptre. Stars flank the composition in the field on either side of the group; above the scene appears a radiate head of Sol facing left accompanied by a crescent moon. In the lower exergual field, an anguipede giant — his lower body formed of serpentine coils — brandishes a thunderbolt in his right hand while raising his left in a gesture of defiance or supplication, evoking the Gigantomachy myth. The moneyer's legend CN•CORNEL•L•F appears in the exergue with the letters NE rendered in ligature. |
