Obverse description Laureate head of Clodius Albinus facing right, rendered in the Roman imperial portrait tradition with a short-cropped laurel wreath crowning the bare head. The portrait displays the characteristic features associated with Albinus, with the neck truncation visible at the base. The encircling obverse legend runs from left to right around the portrait field, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The hammered flan shows the slightly irregular fabric typical of late second-century provincial silver coinage struck in the western mints.
