| Obverse description | Laureate head of Clodius Albinus facing right, rendered in bold high relief with characteristic portraiture of the Severan period. The laureate wreath is rendered with individual leaves clearly articulated. The draped bust is truncated at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP CAES D CLO ALBIN AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits an irregular flan edge typical of hammered provincial production of the late 2nd century. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Spes (Hope) depicted as a draped female figure advancing to the left. In her raised right hand she holds a flower, while her left hand gathers and lifts the hem of her garment in the conventional manner associated with this deity. The figure is rendered in the standard allegorical style of Severan-era coinage. The reverse legend SPES AVG COS II is distributed in the field and exergue around the central type. |
