Obverse description Laureate head of Clodius Albinus facing right, rendered in bold high relief with characteristic portraiture of the Severan period. The laureate wreath is rendered with individual leaves clearly articulated. The draped bust is truncated at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP CAES D CLO ALBIN AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits an irregular flan edge typical of hammered provincial production of the late 2nd century.
