| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Clodius Albinus facing right, draped at the shoulder, with a full curly beard rendered in fine detail. The portrait displays the characteristic physiognomy of Albinus, with deeply carved facial features typical of late 2nd-century Roman imperial portraiture. The surrounding legend is incuse within a beaded border, partially visible around the irregular flan. The effigy is bold and high-relief, consistent with the hammered coinage of the usurper period. |
