Obverse description Bare head of Honos facing right, rendered in fine relief with flowing hair in wavy strands falling to the neck. The portrait is framed by two six-rayed stars positioned on either side of the head within the field. The encircling legend reads M DVRMIVS III VIR HONORI, identifying the moneyer Marcus Durmius in his capacity as Triumvir Monetalis and invoking the personification of Honour. The style is characteristic of the late Republican moneyer coinage produced under Augustan authority.
