Reverse description A capis (libation jug) and a lituus (augural staff) are depicted side by side in the center of the field, both rendered with careful detail — the capis showing a ribbed, globular body surmounted by a floral finial, and the lituus with its characteristic curved upper end. These priestly implements allude to the augural and pontifical offices held by Publius Cornelius Lentulus Spinther, the moneyer responsible for this issue. The two-line legend LENTVLVS / SPINT appears in the lower field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
