Both symbols reference the priestly and augural offices held by the moneyer. The moneyer's name LENTVLVS SPINT is inscribed in two lines across the lower field in large Roman capitals, identifying Publius Cornelius Lentulus Spinther as the quaestor responsible for the issue. The reverse is enclosed within a border of dots, consistent with the obverse. |
