| Descrizione del rovescio | A large eight-rayed sidus Iulium (Julian star or comet) occupies the central field, its elongated lanceolate rays radiating symmetrically from a central boss, with a prominent upward-pointing flaming tail or coma issuing from the apex, referencing the comet seen at the Ludi Victoriae Caesaris in 44 BC and interpreted as the soul of the deified Julius Caesar ascending to heaven. The legend DIVVS in the upper field and IVLIVS in the lower exergual area flank the comet in bold Latin capitals. A beaded border encircles the design. |
