Reverse description Roma, personified as a helmeted female figure in Corinthian helmet, is depicted seated right upon a pile of shields and resting her left hand upon a grounded spear. A bird flies on each side of the figure, flanking the composition symmetrically. In the lower field before her feet rests a helmet, while at her feet a she-wolf stands right, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus in an allusion to the legendary foundation of Rome. The reverse is anepigraphic, carrying no legend.
