| Obverse description | Draped bust of Agrippina the Younger facing right, her hair elaborately arranged with a long plait descending behind the neck and bound with a crown of corn-ears, conferring upon her the attributes of imperial and divine dignity. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine engraving typical of Claudian-era Roman coinage. The peripheral legend encircles the bust in the dative case, emphasizing her elevated status as Augusta. The overall portrait conveys dynastic authority and is among the most celebrated female effigies in the Roman imperial series. |
