正面描述 Bare male head facing right, rendered in the Ibero-Celtic artistic tradition with strongly modelled, curly hair depicted in voluted locks arranged across the crown and falling behind the neck. A small spherical pellet or control mark appears in the left field. The portrait displays a pronounced jaw, detailed ear, and a naturalistic profile silhouette, reflecting the influence of Hellenistic coinage conventions adapted by Celtiberian moneyers. No legend is present on the obverse.

附加信息

Arekorata was a Celtiberian city in the upper Duero valley — identified with modern Ágreda in Soria province — that issued coins under Roman commercial influence during the long process of Romanization following the Celtiberian Wars. This denarius belongs to a series that adopted Roman weight standards and denominations while retaining indigenous Iberian script, a practical concession to trade rather than any formal grant of minting rights.

The city's issues are among the more precisely attributed in the Hispanic series, anchored by Heiss's original classification and refined through CNH. Relatively low survival rates reflect limited original production compared to the major Iberian mints at Bolskan or Sekobirikes.
