| 背面描述 | A hound in full gallop to the right, depicted with elongated body and outstretched legs in a flying-gallop pose characteristic of Celtic coinage. Below the hound, a horizontal javelin or spear is visible, a recurring element on Eraviscan issues. The retrograde or abbreviated tribal inscription appears in the lower portion of the field. The rendering is vigorous and schematic, consistent with the Celtic artistic tradition of abstracted animal forms. |

The Eravisci were a Celtic tribe settled in Pannonia, in the region of modern Budapest, whose coinage is a textbook case of provincial imitation. Their denarii replicate Roman Republican types so closely — and so deliberately — that attribution requires careful die study rather than casual inspection. The tribe had no independent monetary tradition of their own; they adopted Roman forms wholesale, likely to facilitate trade with Roman merchants moving along the Danube frontier.
Silver fineness varies considerably across the series, declining in later issues as Roman oversight tightened and local metal sources were tapped more aggressively.
