Obverse description Crowned double-headed eagle displayed in the field, with wings spread and each head surmounted by a separate crown beneath a shared central crown. A small shield bearing a heraldic charge is superimposed on the eagle's breast at centre. The entire design is enclosed within a rope or beaded border following the irregular flan. No legend is present, consistent with the diminutive module of the denar denomination.
