| 裏面の説明 | Within a beaded inner border, a stylized heraldic Bohemian lion rampant facing right, depicted in a bold, schematic manner typical of hammered silver denars of the late Přemyslid period. The mane and tail are rendered with decorative incised lines. The field is plain and unlettered, and the overall design is consistent with the reverse type catalogued under Cach#819. |

Ottokar II ruled Bohemia at the height of its medieval power, controlling territory stretching from Silesia to the Adriatic at various points — earning him the epithet "King of Iron and Gold." These denars were struck during the period when he was consolidating that dominance, including his administration of Austria, Styria, Carinthia, and Carniola simultaneously. His ambitions ultimately brought him into fatal conflict with Rudolf of Habsburg, whose election as Holy Roman Emperor in 1273 Ottokar refused to recognize. He died at the Battle on the Marchfeld in 1278, the same year this issue ceased.
