Denar koronny - Stefan Batory Olkusz mint

Stefan Batory's denar series from Olkusz is unusual in that Olkusz was primarily a silver-mining center — the town's lead-silver deposits had driven royal mint activity there since the Jagiellonian period. A gold striking from this facility in 1580 sits outside the mint's normal production and likely reflects a specific commission rather than routine output. Kop#457 is not a commonly traded piece, and examples surface rarely enough that condition comparisons are difficult.
