Reverse description The reverse presents a spread eagle displayed, its wings outspread and head turned, bearing a small crowned shield on its breast charged with the arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The eagle's talons are visible at the base of the design. The entire motif is surrounded by a beaded inner border. No legend appears on this side; the eagle type conforms to the standard royal Polish denar reverse type as issued under Sigismund III Vasa throughout the 1590s.
