Reverse description A bold Greek cross occupies the center of the reverse, enclosed within a quadrilobe formed by four cusped arches. Stylized floral or trefoil ornaments fill the four angles between the lobes and the outer border, lending a decorative Gothic character to the composition. The entire design is set within a beaded inner circle, with the circumferential legend in uncial script running along the coin's outer rim. The cross and quadrilobe frame are rendered with fine workmanship characteristic of hammered ecclesiastical coinage of the period.
