Reverse description A floriated cross pattee occupying the central field, set within a beaded inner circle, with fleurs-de-lis or decorative motifs in each angle of the cross. The design is enclosed by a beaded border, beyond which the circumferential legend in uncial Latin characters reads + SIT*NOMEN*DNI*BENEDTN, an abbreviated devotional inscription invoking the blessed name of the Lord. The overall reverse composition follows the standard Gothic ecclesiastical cross type common to Swiss episcopal issues of the early 15th century.
