Reverse description A charioteer, clad in a long chiton, drives a biga at full gallop to the right, holding the reins in his left hand and a goad (kentron) in his right hand. The horses are depicted in vigorous motion, conveying dynamism characteristic of Syracusan numismatic art. In the exergue below the horses, a triskeles runs to the right, serving as a symbol closely associated with Sicily. The reverse composition echoes the grand tradition of Sicilian victory coinage.
