Obverse description A standing allegorical female figure, representing Immortality, leans in mourning over a pedestal decorated with a floral relief, her head bowed and one hand resting on a reversed torch. To the left, the crowned shield of the Netherlands rests against the base of the pedestal. The engraver's signature VAN DER KELLEN F appears in the exergue, and the Dutch legend arcs around the upper field.
