| Obverse description | Intaglio-printed portrait vignette of Johannes Gutenberg at left, wearing a fur-trimmed hat, set against an intricate multicolour guilloche underprint in gold and green tones. At centre, a stylised green floral scroll motif rises above a decorative band, while the upper right carries a circular optically variable device (OVD) element with the interlaced monogram 'DG' in iridescent gold, surrounded by finely engraved concentric lathe-work panels in brown, blue and green.
