| Beschrijving keerzijde | An imitation of the reverse of a Golden Horde dang, copying the design of issues of Shadi Beg or Pulad Khan. The central field bears a stylized Arabic inscription rendering the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, arranged in multiple lines within an ornamental border. The lettering is rendered in a debased, imitative fashion reflecting the Muscovite die-cutter's adaptation of Tatar prototypes. The overall design closely follows Golden Horde monetary conventions in both layout and calligraphic style. |
