Sri Yashaditya was among the last Hindu rulers of Sindh before Muhammad bin Qasim's Umayyad campaign swept through the region in 711–712 CE, ending several centuries of Hindu and Buddhist rule. These tiny silver fractional issues — the damma being the smallest denomination in the Sindhi monetary system, derived ultimately from the Sasanian drachm — were still being struck right up to the Arab conquest. Pieper 3634 sits at the terminal edge of pre-Islamic Sindhi coinage.
