| Obverse description | Central shield displaying the quartered arms of Bronckhorst and Batenburg with an escutcheon en surtout bearing the combined arms of Zuylen and Bahr. Four ornate helmets surmount the shield, each adorned with elaborate crests and mantling in the Renaissance heraldic tradition. The overall composition fills the field in a bold, symmetrical arrangement typical of early seventeenth-century hammered coinage. The circumferential Latin legend encircles the armorial display. |
