| Obverse description | Central field features the quartered heraldic shield of the Brederode family, surmounted by a crowned helmet with elaborate mantling and crest, the date 1563 divided across the lower portion of the shield. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend running along the outer periphery. The arms display the characteristic Brederode charges in a bold, Germanic Renaissance style typical of mid-sixteenth-century Low Countries coinage. |
