Obverse description Imperial double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread, each head surmounted by a separate crown beneath a single large imperial crown at top. At the center of the eagle's breast, a crowned orb (Globus cruciger) bearing the numeral 28. The eagle's feathers are rendered in fine detail characteristic of hammered coinage of the period. The circular legend surrounds the design in the outer field.

(Translation: Ferdinand, Ever Exalted Emperor of the Romans)
Reverse description A floriated short cross divides the field into four quarters, each containing a shield bearing a rampant lion. At the center of the cross, a small shield charged with a single-headed eagle displayed. The date and a cross appear at the top of the design. The circular legend runs along the outer field, identifying the abbess and the issuing institution.
