| 背面描述 | A large rampant lion, passant-rearing to the right, occupies the central field, rendered with bold, deeply struck relief characteristic of hammered Low Countries coinage of the late sixteenth century. The lion's mane and raised forepaws are clearly defined, and the figure fills the flan with commanding presence. A beaded inner border frames the central device, with the Latin legend disposed around the outer periphery reading QVIS· NISI· DEVS· ERGO· TIME· EVM, accompanied by a floral rosette stop. The motto translates as 'Who but God should be feared?' and reflects the Protestant character of the issuing lordship during the turbulent period of the Dutch Revolt. The flan is notably irregular in outline, consistent with the hammered technique employed at the Hedel mint. |
