| 背面描述 | Full-length standing figure of Saint Pancras as a Roman soldier, depicted facing front in the field. The saint is shown in military attire with armour, holding a sword in one hand and a palm frond — the martyr's attribute — in the other. The figure stands on a baseline near the lower rim, rendered in the somewhat flat, linear style typical of hammered Low Countries daalders of the period. A Latin legend encircles the figure between the inner beaded border and the outer toothed rim, invoking the name of the patron saint, separated by star-shaped stops. |

Willem IV van den Bergh governed his lordship as a political weathervane — Protestant-leaning early in his rule, later returning to Catholic obedience under Habsburg pressure, and ultimately dying in Spanish-controlled territory in 1586. The St. Pancratiusdaalder takes its name from the patron saint of Bergh, whose cult was centered at the lordship's principal church. Issues from this series are unlisted in Van der Chijs, a gap that reflects how inconsistently the smaller Guelders lordships documented their own minting activity rather than any modern oversight.
