Obverse description High-relief bust of King D. Fernando I facing three-quarters right, wearing a jewelled crown and royal robes adorned with a chain collar, holding a fleur-de-lis sceptre. The dates 1367 and 1383 appear in Gothic numerals to the left of the effigy, with the legend arranged along the right rim. The engraver's signature 'Baltazar' is inscribed in the lower left field.

Reverse description High-relief battle scene depicting armoured medieval knights and soldiers assaulting the walls of Lisbon, with a mounted horse prominently rendered in the foreground. The massive stone fortification walls fill the background in strong relief. The legend is inscribed along the upper rim, and the maker's mark 'BERPAL PORTO' appears in the upper right field.
