| Obverse description | Crowned and armored bust of King John II Casimir Vasa facing right, holding a scepter in his right hand and an orb in his left, depicted in half-length within the coin field. The king wears elaborate plate armor with ornamental detail, and a royal crown sits atop his head. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading the royal titulature of Poland, Sweden, and Lithuania. The portrait is rendered in a bold baroque style characteristic of mid-17th century Polish royal coinage. |
