Reverse description Quartered heraldic shield displaying the arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth: the Polish White Eagle in the first and fourth quarters, the Lithuanian Pogon (mounted knight) in the second quarter, and a cross or dynastic device in the third quarter, with a small inescutcheon at centre. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown and enclosed within a beaded border. The overall composition follows the standard heraldic style of mid-sixteenth-century Jagiellonian coinage.
