| 正面描述 | Cut half of a bronze As struck under Augustus, retaining approximately the upper semicircular portion of the flan. The obverse surface is heavily encrusted and patinated with green and brown corrosion products, rendering the original design almost entirely illegible. The partial legend (CAESAR AVG) TRIBVNIC (POTEST) would originally have surrounded a laureate portrait of Augustus, though no discernible effigy survives on this fragment. The straight cut edge, bisecting the coin diametrically, is characteristic of deliberate halving to produce a fiduciary half-denomination in currency-scarce frontier contexts. The overall style is consistent with Augustan provincial bronze coinage struck at Colonia Patricia. |
