| 正面描述 | Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King Edward VIII with finely detailed hair, truncated at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, characteristic of proof striking. The circumferential legend reads EDWARD·VIII·KING·&·EMPEROR, separated by raised dots, enclosed within a beaded border. |

Edward VIII abdicated in December 1936 before any coins bearing his effigy were issued for circulation in Britain or its territories. What exists under his name are pattern pieces, trials, and — most numerously — later fantasy strikes produced for the collector trade, many of them gold-plated bronze confections with no official standing whatsoever. The X# prefix in Krause confirms this piece falls outside standard circulating or even officially sanctioned coinage.
The 1936 Indian "Crown" in this composition was never authorized by the Crown Agents or the Government of India.
