| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a large royal crown with fleurs-de-lis finials occupies the central field, richly decorated with rosettes and scrollwork along the band and set upon a crosshatched base. Six fleurs-de-lis are disposed around the crown within the inner circle, two flanking the base and additional examples flanking the crown's sides. The circumferential legend in Gothic Latin letters reads between two beaded borders, separated by x-shaped stops, identifying the issuer as Philippe VI, King of France by the grace of God. |
