| Descrição do anverso |
Central field occupied by a large Jerusalem cross of distinctive form, its four arms each terminating in a crosslet, rendered with hatched shading along the limbs to suggest three-dimensionality; a small pellet appears at the centre of the cross. The field between the arms is plain. A mint mark appears at the base of the cross below the lower arm. The entire device is enclosed within a plain inner circle, with the royal legend disposed in the surrounding annular band between the inner circle and a beaded outer border. |

| Descrição do reverso |
Coronation scene depicted in Gothic style: King Ferdinando I seated facing on a throne, crowned and robed, holding a sceptre in his right hand and an orb surmounted by a cross in his left. To the king's right stands an angel, wings raised, in the act of placing the crown upon the royal head; to the king's left stands a bishop or saint in mitre and vestments, also participating in the coronation ceremony. The composition is enclosed within a plain inner circle, with the reverse legend running in the surrounding annular band between the inner circle and the irregularly hammered outer edge. |
