Reverse description Passant lion occupying the central field, depicted in a stylized medieval manner with head facing forward and body in profile, a heraldic symbol of the Kingdom of Leon. The mane and facial features are rendered with characteristic medieval crudeness, with pellets or ornamental elements visible in the surrounding field. A partial Latin legend encircles the device, though portions are lost to the irregular flan edge and weak strike. The overall relief is bold but uneven, consistent with hammered billon production of the Burgos mint under Juan II.
