Obverse description Crowned bust of King Henry III facing left, rendered in a stylized medieval fashion typical of Castilian hammered coinage. The monarch wears a fleur-de-lis crown prominently displayed above the head, with visible drapery at the shoulders. The portrait is set within a beaded inner circle, with the royal legend occupying the surrounding field. The die work is characteristic of late 14th to early 15th century Castilian billon coinage, with somewhat broad, low-relief features.
