Reverse description A heraldic eagle displayed occupies the central field within a plain inner circle, rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of early 14th-century Hainaut coinage. The eagle's wings are spread and its body is rendered in low relief, showing significant wear consistent with circulation. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin script reads mO WALLENCORT (Coinage of Walincourt), running around the outer periphery of the irregular hammered flan.
