Obverse description Irregular square copper flan struck by the punchmark technique, displaying heavily patinated surfaces with blue-green cuprite corrosion overall. The obverse bears one or more incuse punchmarks applied individually, including what appears to be a circular or crescent-like symbol punched into the field. The flan is roughly cut with uneven edges characteristic of early Indian coinage. Surface detail is obscured by heavy encrustation consistent with extended burial or circulation.
