Obverse description The obverse displays a large crowned royal cipher of Christian VII at center, formed by an interlaced 'C' and numeral '7' in an ornate cursive style. The royal crown surmounting the monogram features a cross at its apex and is rendered with pearled arches. The field is plain and unadorned around the cipher, consistent with the simple design of the prototype skilling coinage. The overall execution displays the characteristic irregularities of a contemporary counterfeit, with slightly crude letter forms and uneven relief.
