| Reverse description | The reverse features a central circular medallion depicting the Eidsvoll Building set amongst trees, inscribed EIDSVOLD above and dated 1814 below, with an open book bearing the legend KONGERIGET NORGES GRUNDLOV beneath. Surrounding this central medallion are seven portrait busts of key figures of the 1814 Norwegian constitution, each identified by name banners: Christian Frederik (at the top, with his name in a surrounding legend), C.M. Falsen, W.F.K. Christie, G. Sverdrup, H. Wedel Jarlsberg, Wergeland, and Lundegaard. A continuous patriotic verse legend runs around the entire outer rim of the reverse, with the engraver's signature IV. THRONDSEN. F. at the bottom. |
