Obverse description The upper portion of the obverse features a circular medallion with a bare-headed bust of King Haakon VII facing right, surrounded by the royal legend in a raised ring. Below, the jubilee inscription and dates are displayed prominently in the field, flanked by large oak and pine branches forming a wreath. At the base, the crowned Norwegian royal arms — a lion rampant holding a halberd on a vertically lined shield — is depicted with flanking ribbon banners bearing the royal motto.
